To be honest, doing manicure is my favourite way to relax and de-stress. And I can just sit with my music on and take care of my hands and nails forever and ever and ever. I don’t know why I find a good at-home manicure session so soothing and relaxing.

Every night I make sure that I exfoliate my hands with Crabtree and Evelyn’s Gardeners Handscrub Pumice and also putting some cuticle oil into my cuticles.

So for the manicure session, I start with filing my nails. This helps in getting rod of any rough, uneven edges. Then I also buff my nails with a buffer to give the nails a smooth finish.

Now, I apply some cuticle oil on the cuticles to nourish and protect them. You can use any other oil like argon or coconut for the cuticles.

Then I soak my hands in some warm water mixed with some soap. This makes the nails clean and soft.

I also gently brush my nails to make them as clean as possible and remove any possible dirt within.

Now I apply one coat of base-coat. This is essential for making the manicure last longer.

Lastly, I apply the nail polish and this time I’m using Kiko Milano’s PERFECT GEL DUO in the shade 668. I always apply two coats for a finer look.
